Frankenstein Opening and My Ghost Story
Mary Shelly opened Frankenstein with four letters from Robert Walton, a sailor in the Atlantic, to his beloved sister back home in England. He told about life on the sea and in the fourth letter there was an interesting turn. Walton met a stranger who was looking for someone that had left him, and may have been seen by Walton and his crew the night before. This was intriguing to me as a reader and had made me interested in what would continue on and happen in the story. If I were writing a ghost story then I would start the story with an event before the actual story that would foreshadow what will happen or I would have an after story to make the readers interested in what will happen of what had happened.
