Cliff Hanger: Jim was driving with his friends to Dave and Busters in Canada, but they encountered one major problem...

Jim was driving with his friends to Dave and Busters in Canada, but they encountered one major problem... there was a lake between themselves and Canada. The friends decided that they would drive around the lake, and go to the one by the Grand Canyon. The friends then realized that there was another problem, they had forgot their passports. They thought Canadians would not mind that they forgot, and they would let them into Canada anyway. Well the friends were right, and they made it into Canada and even had pancakes with maple syrup along side the mountaineers. They had made their way to Dave and Busters and were going to have the time of their lives. They wanted to watch some basketball, eat good food, and play all of the games while inside. But, they were terribly mistaken. The only sport on was hockey and when one of the buddies asked if they could put some basketball on the TV the workers gladly complied. But the only team on to watch there was the Toronto Raptors, and nobody in their right mind would watch them. So, the friends wanted to order something to eat and looked at the menu, only to find all food that would be eaten with maple syrup regularly. The friends gave up on the food and TV and decided to play games where they would soon be disappointed again. There were only games of hockey and skating, the air hockey table even had real ice and miniature hockey sticks to play with. The friends realized that they would have to take this as a loss and return home, but they soon find out their stay in Canada will be a bit more extended, because American Border Control is not as nice as Canadian Border Patrol. As the buddies tried to leave Canada they were asked for their passports, while explaining their unbelievable story to the Americans the guards just laughed at them and sent them back to their hotel where they had to think of the next ingenious plan to create a stronger bond between the 3.

One Unusual Thing That Happened to Me

One unusual thing that had happened to me last weekend was that there was a hostage situation down the street from my house. There was a man holding his wife and 8 year old grandson hostage. The man barricaded himself in the house with guns. My mother's friend had told me that her friend's husband had been called in that night for the hostage negotiation. My mother was friends with the wife and her husband, we also knew their grandson. There were around 20 police cars at the situation and our street was blocaded off. Nobody was allowed in or out of 11th Street. My mom did not know this and tried to go to the store, she was allowed to leave and come back though. Another friend of my mother, who lives next to the people, was told that she had to leave her house until the situation was contained. We are still unsure of what the man's motive was, but I believe that it should have never happened.

One Thing I Would Change in the World

If I could change one thing in the world it would be ending world hunger. I would end world hunger because no one in the world should starve or be hungry. This is one of the things that is hate about the world that we live in. The rapper Tupac Shakur once said, "It's too much money here, I mean nobody should be hitting the lotto for 36 million and we got people starvin' in the streets, that is not idealistic, that's just real, that is just stupid." I believe that Tupac is very much correct with his thoughts. I know that the lottery jackpot goes up with each ticket sale and the money that is won can be used for good, but I think that the lottery should change things around. I believe that at least 15% of the money form lottery tickets sold should go towards ending world hunger, helping disaster relief, and humanitarian organizations. While the jackpot can be done as followed. The money can be divided in half by the winner, one half goes to the things I listed earlier, and the other half is to keep tax free, for them. If the winner does not want to do so, then they would have to pay normal taxes on their winnings.

One Characteristic I Like

One characteristic that I like about myself is that I enjoy helping people and giving to people. This has also become a habit because I give all the time. I always want to help people out when something is going wrong and when they need a hand. I was always taught to put others over or before myself because it is the courteous thing to do. But I see it differently, I prefer others over myself because I know what it is like to need somebody, and want someone to help me when I am alone. When it is even helping someone with something small, people will appreciate it a lot. I have helped people I do not know, complete strangers, and that have told me how much of a help I have been and that they are glad to see someone that is willing to help another without expecting anything in return. Helping people makes me feel good because the little, or big, help I might give could change a person's day for the better.

My Gadget

I would create a gadget that will help bring the thoughts of children and adults who are deaf, paralyzed, or have a speech impediment. They will be able to talk to people, and interact normally. This device will also help them hear what others are saying, or have a visual display that shows what they are hearing from the person that is talking to them, displayed on a tablet or another device. This will function by an earpiece and a chip in the brain, to understand the thoughts, along with a display device. This will help people learn the language, spelling, and grammar. My device will bring a new light to understanding people and even how the brain works. My unique device will be called, 'The Hearing & Speaking Accelerator'.

If Money Were No Object

If money was no object I would be a NBA basketball player. I would be a basketball player because that is what I love to do. Basketball players also help the community, and others in need. They donate money, help organizations, build houses, build community centers, and even bring happiness to children and people in hospitals and communities. I love to bring happiness to people and love helping people. I want to help my community, and the people in it while doing what I love. I have seen the NBA players in action, and so much good is done by them. The players, and coaches, also bring so much joy to young children in hospitals. These athletes entertain people when they play in the games, while having fun doing it. Since I was young I wanted to be in the NBA, because these athletes are the most outstanding of all athletes, and they do way more than just play basketball.

The Summer I Will Be Sixteen

This summer I'm going to be working so hard.
I'm also bouta be whipping in my new car.
I'm also bouta go out and just party.
And I'm going to avoid this one show they call Maury.
I'm going to stay in my world and just not listen,
So I don't have to deal with the problems that I live in.
I'm going to avoid those that get on my nerves.
If they think they can disrespect me, then I'll show them what they deserve.
Maybe I'll go old school and let them get served.
And show them that they're nothing but little turds.
Did I say turds?
Yea I said turds!
To keep Nelson happy, you know I had to use clean words.

The summertime I'm sixteen
I'll be doing everything.
I'll be going to the courts
And playing after dark.
We'll be playing basketball
Till our thumbs fall off.
I'll be going up to work
In a somewhat new car,
Or maybe it'll be my moms old car.

But let get back on topic about the summer return.
Imma have no regrets just lessons learned.
Me and my crew are gonna chill.
Prolly hit up K-cream and get some shake with some milk.
Prolly go dressed up, have my girl in some silk.
Even though I am broke, Imma think I'm rich.
So, I'm not even gonna worry about the stupid little bill.
I'm not gonna worry, I'm just gonna enjoy life.
Just go outside and enjoy the sun so bright.
Yea I enjoyed the summers before I was fifthteen.
Imma enjoy this summer and Imma be sixteen!

Joseph kill em!

I know how people are,
They like to judge.
But when they try to move me,
I will not budge.
There will be ups and downs
And there will be turn arounds.
But I will inks which way to go.
This will be my sixteen summer,
So I'll enjoy myself,
And live to the max for myself.

Favorite Hobby

My favorite hobby is basketball. Basketball is my favorite because I have been playing it since I was five years old. I love to play, and do play all year round. I play either for a school team, an AAU team (traveling), or for fun at a recreation center (YMCA), or even at the basketball court near my house. I love the sport, and it means everything to me. my friends, and myself would shovel the driveway at my house, in the winter time, just to get some games in. I play it for fun, but I am also very serious about it. So, if someone says that basketball does not matter, or that it's just a game, I get very offended. I have been playing basketball for over 10 years now, and have loved it everysingle second. There are ups and downs, but it will always get better. I play so often that it feels like I live on the court. I know that it is not everyones favorite thing to do, but I love, and do not care what others think. In other words, basketball is life, and I am living it.

One Thing I Would Change

If I could change one thing that has happened in my past it would be not riding the Maverick with my friends at Cedar Point this summer. It was my first time going to Cedar Point since I was young, so I was very nervous. The ride sounded very fun as I heared many people in the line talking about it. We waited in line for around an hour and a half to about two hours, until we made it to the front of the line. I told my friend that I was not going to go upside down, drop at a steep angle, or around in circles, so when I heared about the 89 degree angle drop I started to second guess going on the ride. When we were about to go on I walked past, and felt really bad. When my friend got off he said it was really fun, and I should have went on. I felt really bad and regret it now.

Who I value the Most

One person I value the most is my mom. I really do not have a lot of people that I can depend on in life, but my mom is one. although we argue and fight, she will always be there for me. I love her and she loves me, and we have each other. Ever since my father passed away my mother and I have lived alone, together. Sometimes we do not have much, or do much, but we have each other. I know she will always be there to talk to, even if I do not want to talk to, and she will always have a shoulder to lean on when I need one. I value her a lot, even when we argue and disagree, I know that she will be there waiting with open arms. There are so many people in this world, but she is my only mother, an I know that we can stand together in his world, even if it is just the two of us.

One Interesting Thing That Happened This Summer...

One interesting thing that happened this summer was me getting a job. I work at an Ice Cream shop called K-Cream Corner. I started in April, but continued through summer. This showed many opportunities that would not have come if I had not made a decision to work for myself. I was able to make my own money, and buy things that I really wanted, such as my 4-wheeler! Although I had to  go to work for up to five days a week, I loved making my own money. This also showed me responsibility, I was responsible for being on time, and ready to do my job. It also showed me how having respect for others pays off. Many people have left tips, and some have not, but people have asked to talk to my boss to tell her how good I have done. Some people have called in saying that I have showed respect and they like that, and others have personally told my boss that they should give me a raise, because of my help to them. Having a job encouraged me to get another job at a restaurant down the street, for the winter!

My Special Name

Joseph,
Joseph is me.
Joseph Rafael Gonzalez is who I will always be.
No one can change it, because this is me.

My name, originating from the bible, is where Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob, and his mother Rachel, was loved by God and the favorite son of Jacob.
My mother believes in God and loves him very much,
So, she wanted a name for me that was loved by God as such.
Hated by others,
Mainly his brothers.
Who sent him to Israel,
Where he was a prisoner in exile.
He raised in rankings,
And was in charge a possible famine outbreak there.
Later on, as we all know.
He was the husband of Mary, and father of Jesus.

That is not me,
Nor who I will be.
But, I will create my own story,
And one day find my Mary.

Right now I look at my name's history,
And create my own poetry.
While thinking about who I will be.
And I will be 100% me.

My Most Important Rule-Respect

There are many different rules in all of the different aspects of life. The rules are all very important, but I believe that one stands out. Respect is very important to anyone, and it gets people very far. If someone shows respect for people under their level, they will look up to them. If respect is shown to people above their status, it will be give back, and they would not be ignored by their superiors. When respect is earned from others they will offer opportunities that may not have come if they had not noticed their respect.
If respect is shown to customers at a job they may tell the manager, owner, or the person's boss that they are doing well, and recognize their respect. If the boss gets compliments multiple times, for that person, then they may give them more respect, responsibility, and higher ranks (more pay, better jobs, better hours, etc.).
My point is that showing respect will get people a long way in life, and lift them up in ranking. It has for me.
